SPECIAL PRIZES
Carnegie Hall Winners Concert Award
- Winners Concert takes place at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York, NY, on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 7:30pm ET.
- Awarded to Gold & Silver Medalists of each group in the grand final round.
- Subject to availability, high-ranking contestants from the Final Round may be invited to perform on the concert.***
- Additional performers may be selected to perform based on the judges and competition directors’ discretion.
- Invitations will be sent out on a rolling basis, until all performance spots are filled. ***
- Performers are responsible for all of his/her own expenses such as travel, visa, hotel, etc.
- Participation in the Winners’ Concert is optional. Should you choose to participate, the following Concert Fees must be submitted. Concert Fees include two complimentary tickets.
– Gold Prize Winners: free
– Silver Prize Winners: $150 concert fee
– Bronze Prize Winners, if invited to perform: $300 concert fee
– Honorable Mention Winners and all other prizewinners, if invited to perform: $400 concert fee
“PL Teacher of the Year” Award
- Awarded to the teacher(s) whose students won the most number of first prizes.
- If there are ties after counting the first prizes, second prizes will be counted to determine the tiebreaker.
- If there are ties after counting the second prizes, third prizes will be counted to determine the tiebreaker.
- In the rare instance that ties still exist after counting first, second, and third prizes, multiple awards will be given.
- Grand Final prizes are not counted.
- Certificate and exclusive interview with Piano League.
“PL Excellence of Teaching” Awards
- Awarded to teachers whose student(s) receive a Star Score of 9.0 or above.
- Featured and listed on all Piano League social media, as well as website.
- Certificate.
Luzerne Music Center Summer Camp Scholarship Award
- 1 four-week full scholarship of ~ $6250, including room and board, to attend the 2024 Luzerne Music Center Summer Camp in Lake Luzerne, NY, awarded to the Gold Prize Winner of Group E (Ages 16 – 18).
- 1 two-week full scholarship of ~$3150, including room and board, to attend the 2024 Luzerne Music Center Summer Camp in Lake Luzerne, NY, awarded to the Gold Prize Winner of Group D (Ages 13 – 15).
- 1 two-week full scholarship of ~$3150, including room and board, to attend the 2024 Luzerne Music Center Summer Camp in Lake Luzerne, NY, awarded to the Gold Prize Winner of Group C (Ages 10 – 12).
Lunigiana International Music Festival Scholarship Award
- 1 full-tuition scholarship to attend the 2024 Lunigiana International Music Festival in Fivizzano, Tuscany, Italy.
- Awarded to one Grand Finalist (Gold Prize Winner not eligible) in Group E (Ages 16 – 18).
- Chosen by Chantal Balestri (LIMF Artistic Director).
- Additional partial scholarships may be awarded.
