Major Festival Sponsors $20,000+ in Scholarships to PL’s New Competition

The Montecito International Music Festival (MIMF) is offering nine scholarships — over $20,000! — to attend the next in-person festival. The scholarships, which range from full festival tuition to $1,800 dollars towards MIMF’s tuition, will be awarded within the Piano League’s three Professional and two Amateur groups in this fall’s upcoming Piano Star International Competition. Scholarships will be awarded to the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Prize winners in the Professional II (ages 13-15) and Professional III (ages 16-18) groups and to the Gold Prize winners of the Professional I (ages 12 and under), Amateur D (ages 13-15) and Amateur E (ages 16-18) groups.

“Montecito International Music Festival would like to congratulate Piano Star International Competition’s inaugural season.” Says Chan Ho Yun, CEO & Artistic Director of MIMF.

The new scholarship offer is an addition to a list of already impressive prizes offered to the winners of the competition.
