Piano Star International Competition is back for its 6th season

The Piano Star International Competition’s 6th season is here!

The 2025 Piano Star International Competition is officially underway. Open to pianists ages 4-18, Piano Star is an accessible platform for young artists to gain exposure and experience in professional, competitive environments – all while receiving valuable feedback from industry leaders in piano pedagogy and competing for cash prizes, scholarships, and awards from the Luzerne Music Center in New York and the Gulf Coast Symphony in Florida. What’s new this year

Gulf Coast Symphony Concerto Performance | The winner of Group E will be offered the opportunity to perform a concerto with the Gulf Coast Symphony in Fort Myers, Florida.
Expanded studio incentives | Application fee discounts are available for teachers who register multiple students, are listed on  Pianist Express™, and past PL Excellence in Teaching awardees.

What’s coming back

Renowned panels of judges | Our judges are leaders in piano pedagogy and are handpicked from the music industry for their exceptional qualifications. Each panel will bring an array and wealth of expertise and knowledge – providing verbal feedback and scores to contestants.
Over $25,000 in prizes & scholarships | Contestants have the opportunity to win cash prizes, music festival scholarships, trophies, awards, and certificates from Piano League, Luzerne Music Center, and the Gulf Coast Symphony.
Carnegie Hall Winners Concert | The summer showcase concert series continues into its fourth year: select winners will be given the opportunity to perform at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in 2026.
Transparent scores | Our commitment to transparency and fairness in a competitive environment has always been one of our top priorities. All scores from the final and grand final rounds will be released to the public.
