PIANO STAR INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION WINNERS CONCERT: YOUNG ARTISTS TO PERFORM AT CARNEGIE HALL
Presented by Piano League
WEILL RECITAL HALL AT CARNEGIE HALL (June 29th, 2025 @ 7:30PM EST) – Piano League, a platform and community created for young musicians to have expanded access to experiences and opportunities in the classical music industry, is hosting its sixth season of the Piano Star International Competition this fall and hosting its third Carnegie Hall Winners Concert at the end of this month. This showcase concert will feature select prize winners from last fall’s Piano Star – and kicks off the new season with a night of exceptional music.
The 2024 Piano Star featured young musicians from around the world in both in-person (New York, Bangkok, and Shenzhen) and online rounds of the competition. The panels of judges included world renowned concert pianists and industry leaders in piano pedagogy, including Robert McDonald and Michael Lewin. This past year, Piano League also partnered with the Luzerne Music Center and Skillman Music recording studio to offer music camp scholarships and recording session discounts. The 2025 season will include over $25,000 in prizes and scholarships as well as the opportunity to perform a concerto with the Gulf Coast Symphony in Florida.
The core purpose of Piano League is founded on the belief that piano studies are most valuable when they are both enjoyable and professional. It aims to support and propel this generation of musicians by offering young pianists accessible experiences and exposure to the music industry and community.
The upcoming June showcase concert offers a lens to the current generation of pianists and how they look and sound – and is part of a broader effort by Piano League to offer more accessible in-person events. The upcoming 2025 Piano Star International Competition will continue with in-person performances in NYC, Bangkok, and Shenzhen, and the culmination concert at Carnegie Hall next summer.
We hope you’ll join us at the end of the month at Carnegie Hall to support and celebrate young artists with a night of exceptional musical talent! Tickets start at $65 and can be purchased at carnegiehall.org, the Carnegie Hall box office on 57th St. and 7th Ave., and CarnegieCharge at (212) 247-7800.
