166 Finalists Selected for the 2022 Piano Star Competition

We are thrilled to announce the finalists of the 3rd annual Piano Star International Competition.

About the competition

The Piano League Piano Star International Competition is an online international piano competition open to pianists up to 18 years old in 8 different age groups. The competition has an unprecedented format that brings together young piano talents worldwide: a Zoom Final Round, where contestants perform in real-time at home and receive instant verbal feedback from a prestigious judging panel.

Founded in 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic, the annual Piano League Piano Star International Competition continues to be an integral part of the piano community. It is a great way to gain exposure, garner feedback from judges, get experience in competitive environments, and win cash prizes.

This year, select winners will have the chance to perform at the Winners Concert at Carnegie Hall next June.

What’s Next

The Final Round will be held on November 19 and 20, 2022, on Zoom. In the end, the top four scoring pianists in each age group will make it to the Grand Finals.

In other words, out of the 166 finalists, only 32 pianists will make it to the end, and put on two fantastic shows (1 for the professional division, 1 for the amateur division) for the world to see.

The Grand Finals will be on December 10 and 11, 2022 (U.S. Time).
