It will be her first performance in Denmark since 2006, when she played at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. The following day she will take part in an event with piano students from Denmark’s three conservatoires.
Uchida moved to Vienna at the age of 12 and studied there. Her international breakthrough came in 1982, when she performed Mozart’s piano sonatas in London and Tokyo. She is known above all for her playing of Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann and Schoenberg.
