Adam Adov wins 2026 Australian National Piano Award
The 23-year-old from New South Wales took the $33,000 first prize in Shepparton, ahead of Alyssa Chalmers and Oscar Wong.

Adam Adov, 23, from New South Wales, has won first prize at the 2026 Australian National Piano Award in Shepparton, Victoria. The results were announced after the grand final on the evening of Saturday 10 October.
First prize is worth $33,000 in total, made up of the $28,000 Greater Shepparton City Council Prize and a $5,000 Daphne Turnbull Bursary for music career development.
Second prize of $13,000 went to Alyssa Chalmers, 22, also from New South Wales. She also received the $5,000 Rotary Club of Shepparton People’s Choice Prize, voted by the audience, and the Shepparton News Prize for the best Bach performance. Oscar Wong, 28, from Queensland, took third prize of $7,000 along with the Pam Wells Prize for the best Chopin performance.
