Dr. Brian Lin Piano Studio

Dr. Brian Lin teaches piano in Bergen County, NJ. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University and bachelor's and master's degrees from The Juilliard School, where he studied with Yoheved Kaplinsky, Joseph Kalichstein and Matti Raekallio.

Dr. Lin has won first prizes at the Virginia Waring and Lennox international competitions, received the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Graduate Arts Award, and performed as soloist with the Houston Symphony. He is the founder of Piano League and its Piano Star International Competition, and he regularly sits on competition juries. He is also Associate Director of Music Strategy at Zeta Charter Schools in New York City, where he expanded the network's instrumental music program.

Lessons are for serious students of any age, from beginners to competition and conservatory preparation. The focus is on sound, musical understanding and practice habits that hold up when the teacher is not in the room.
